How To Use Forge
Best practices for your Forge Loyalty Program
Welcome to Forge!
We’re thrilled to have you here! In this guide, we’ll help you get started with best practices for your Forge Loyalty Program so that you can grow your community, reward your most dedicated fans, and drive real results for your business. Let’s dive in!
What is a Forge Loyalty Program?
Forge Loyalty Programs offer game developers a new way to grow their games and reward customer loyalty. With Forge, you’ll be able to offer valuable rewards as an incentive for players who actively contribute to your community via social media or return day in and day out to play your game. We track activity across all the most important channels including in-game (with the Forge API), Discord, Telegram, X, Steam, Xbox, YouTube, all the leading web3 gaming protocols, and beyond, so you can reward user engagement across all of the touch points that matter to your business.
Best of all: Forge Loyalty programs require 0 code and can be set up in minutes with no engineering effort.
What makes Forge different?
Long term
Unlike the questing platforms you may be familiar with, our Loyalty Programs are designed for long-term engagement, not quick one-offs. With Forge, you’ll build sustained campaigns that keep players coming back daily to grow their status and top the leaderboards.
Real gamers, real games
Forge offers an audience of hundreds of thousands of verified gamers (we know this because they’ve connected their gaming profiles to Forge). We give you the ability to target the specific personas your game needs to succeed, and track their in-game activity, not just social.
Valuable insights
Forge provides valuable insights into your audience that you won’t get anywhere else by tapping into the gaming and social profiles that users share with us voluntarily.
How does it work?
Once your Loyalty Program is customized with your game’s branding, you can begin creating “Actions”—tasks or behaviors you want to reward. Players earn points for completing each action, which can be anything from in-game achievements to social engagements. Their points add up over time, helping them climb the leaderboards and gain status within your community, and ultimately earn rewards of your choosing.
What kinds of rewards will entice users?
While how you decide to reward your users is ultimately up to you, rewards should have meaningful value to reflect the time and effort players have invested into your campaign. Here are some best practices we recommend:
One-off rewards (typically at the end of your campaign)
- Offer rewards to all players who earn a certain number of points.
- Enter players into raffles based on their points for in-game content or tokens.
- Avoid limiting rewards to just the top 10 or 50 players, as latecomers may feel discouraged if others have a huge lead.
- Offer rare items, a founders pack, a unique NFT, rare or exclusive profile banners, in-game currency, on-chain tokens, or whatever else will get your community excited!
Ongoing status
- Offer “status” to users who reach certain points milestones, like airline loyalty.
- If a user has earned 500 points, they could receive a special in-game banner, Discord role, or access to a private Telegram group with founders.

What makes an ideal campaign?
Forge offers plenty of flexibility for your Loyalty Program, but here are some best practices:
- Campaign Length: 1-6 months. Avoid a quick-hit one and done; opt for longer campaigns with regular updates to keep users engaged over time.
- Actions: Use a mix of social, community, and in-game actions. Regularly updating actions, as often as daily, can keep the campaign fresh and give fans a reason to keep coming back, i.e., new social posts to engage with or new in-game campaigns to complete. You can also set up daily recurring actions (like win 1 PvP match per day), a simple log-in incentive, or recurring social quests to engage with your latest Tweets.
- Rewards: Keep in mind the amount of time and effort of the users participating in your campaign. Even if they are superfans, they deserve something special!
